Etihad Airways has launched a seasonal route from Krakow to Abu Dhabi, operating three times a week from June 11 to September 5, 2026. The flights are served by the latest Airbus A321LR aircraft, offering 160 seats in first, business, and economy classes.
Krakow becomes the second Polish city after Warsaw to host Etihad Airways flights. Passengers departing from Krakow-Balice airport will gain convenient access via Abu Dhabi’s Zayed International Airport to destinations including Bangkok, Sydney, Singapore, Mumbai, Manila, and the Maldives.
The service is expected to strengthen Krakow’s position as a regional aviation hub, connecting southern Poland to long-haul networks operated by the Emirati carrier.
New gateway to Asia and Australia
– Krakow is one of Europe’s greatest cultural cities, with a strong business community and a natural fit in our European network – said the chief executive officer of Etihad Airways.
The connection provides travelers from Poland with a single-stop link to key markets in Southeast Asia, the Indian subcontinent, and Oceania, bypassing traditional European hubs. Etihad’s network from Abu Dhabi covers over 70 destinations worldwide.
Record-breaking traffic at Kraków Airport
– The arrival of Etihad at Kraków Airport this summer is an important moment for our airport and the entire region. The direct connection to Abu Dhabi provides travelers from southern Poland with seamless onward connections to Asia, the Indian subcontinent, and Australia – said Łukasz Strutyński, president of Kraków Airport.
In May 2026, Kraków Airport handled 1.34 million passengers, and from the start of the year the total reached 5.59 million. The airport expects to serve approximately 15 million passengers by the end of the year, a record figure for Poland’s largest regional airport.
