Unibep: H1 revenue falls below last year, but margins improve

Polish listed construction group Unibep estimates that its consolidated sales revenue in the first half of 2026 reached nearly PLN 856.6 million, a drop compared with the over PLN 1 billion revenue it posted in the same period a year earlier. The company nevertheless improved its gross margin, which rose to 9.4 percent from 7.9 percent.

That margin improvement helped the builder keep its gross profit on sales close to the previous year’s level. Unibep reported around PLN 81 million in gross profit, slightly less than in H1 2025 despite the noticeably lower revenue, according to the company’s statement.

The group’s net profit came to approximately PLN 3.2 million in the first six months of 2026, while net profit attributable to parent company shareholders reached nearly PLN 3.1 million. Unibep said both figures went up compared with the previous year after eliminating the impact of a one-off item recorded in the same period of 2025.

Lower net profit in H1 2025 after one-off exclusion

A year earlier, net profit benefited from that extraordinary event and stood at approximately PLN 6.5 million. In H1 2025, net profit attributable to shareholders of the parent company was just PLN 351 thousand.

Unibep’s order book at the end of June 2026 totalled PLN 3.66 billion, up from PLN 3.5 billion in the corresponding period of the previous year.

New tenders and contracts ahead

After the balance-sheet date, the company signed two contracts with a combined value of PLN 0.64 billion. It also expects to sign contracts worth around PLN 1.9 billion, in the part attributable to Unibep, after submitting the most favourable bids in tender proceedings; for some of those proceedings, appeal procedures are still underway.

Unibep, which operates as a general contractor in many parts of Poland and across a wide range of construction market segments, is increasingly active in military construction, commercial and service-related building projects, public utility structures, energy construction, industrial facilities and infrastructure.
