Trump issues order: 'I hope you will miss me’

President Donald Trump announced that the U.S. military is ready, willing, and able to strike Iran, responding to reports of an alleged Iranian plot to assassinate him. He denied that Israel provided the intelligence, stating he has been a target for a long time.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump declared that 1,000 missiles are already targeted and loaded, aimed at the Islamic Republic of Iran, with thousands more ready to be launched if Iran acts on threats to assassinate the U.S. president. – Orders have been given, and the U.S. military is ready, willing, and able, for a period of one year, with possibility of extension, to completely decimate and destroy all areas of Iran – PRAISE BE TO ALLAH! – wrote Trump.

Denial of Israeli involvement

Trump refuted claims that Israel alerted him about the alleged plot. In an interview with the New York Post, he said: – No, no. Israel didn’t come out with anything. I have been number one for a long time and that’s life. – He added: – I hope you will miss me. – The president indicated there is no new assassination plan from Iran, but noted Tehran has long sought his death.

Earlier, Trump had mentioned during the NATO summit in Turkey that a new list of individuals Iran wants to kill had emerged, with him at the top. According to the Wall Street Journal, the warning, though not deemed highly credible, prompted the White House to have Trump return from the summit using the old Air Force One rather than a new plane gifted by Qatar, which lacks certain anti-missile systems.

Long-standing threats and past retaliation

Trump has been on Iran’s target list since the end of his first term, following the killing of Qasem Soleimani, commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ Quds Force. U.S. intelligence also thwarted assassination attempts against former Trump adviser John Bolton and former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo. – I have been number one for a long time and that’s life – Trump reiterated. He revealed he left instructions for the military that if anything happens, they should bomb Iran at a level never seen before.

During the NATO summit, Trump claimed he did not use the new plane on the return from Ankara because he wanted troops at Mildenhall base in the UK to see it. The aircraft swap occurred during a refueling stop. The president’s aggressive rhetoric underscores the heightened tensions between Washington and Tehran, with both sides exchanging threats over the alleged assassination plot.
