Respect Energy signs new solar power agreement

Polish energy trading company Respect Energy has signed a six-year power purchase agreement with German utility Uniper for electricity from four solar farms under construction in Poland. The installations, with a combined capacity of 219 MWp, are located in Pakość, Kłodawa, Domanów and Krotoszyce.

The contract covers the purchase of energy along with guarantees of origin, with the first power delivery scheduled for 2028 once all construction and permitting works are completed. The projects are part of Uniper Renewables strategy adopted in December 2025, which envisions building four solar farms in Poland and one in the United Kingdom, totaling 288 MWp.

Uniper Renewables chief executive Julia Tica said the agreement demonstrates consistent progress in implementing the company’s transformation strategy and expanding its European renewable portfolio. – These four Polish photovoltaic projects directly contribute to decarbonisation of the national energy system while strengthening Uniper’s role as a reliable energy supplier. Such partnerships accelerate the energy transition and bring stability to the market – she said.

Long-term price stability through ppa

The PPA is designed to secure long-term price stability while supporting decarbonisation of the Polish power system. For Respect Energy, the deal adds four large-scale solar sources to its portfolio, enabling the company to offer competitively priced green energy to its customers across 24 countries where it operates.

– We are pleased to establish a long-term cooperation with Uniper that supports renewable energy development in Poland. Securing green energy supply from four solar farms strengthens our portfolio and allows us to offer clients competitively priced energy from renewable sources. Together with Uniper we will contribute to European energy transition goals and energy security – declared Łukasz Jankowski, head of origination at Respect Energy.

Expanding renewable footprint in europe

Respect Energy currently owns its own renewable generation assets and cooperates with a group of over one thousand green energy producers. The company’s presence in two dozen European markets gives it a broad base for sourcing and trading electricity from renewable sources.

For Uniper, the Polish solar projects mark another step in building a geographically diversified clean energy portfolio. The four farms, all located in western and central Poland, will feed electricity into the national grid and help the country reduce its reliance on fossil fuels for power generation.
