Owners of photovoltaic installations entered in the MIOZE register have only until 31 July 2026 to send their mandatory half-year report. The document must be filed on a new form, and late submission can trigger a fine of up to 1,000 zł.
The requirement applies to producers registered in MIOZE, the Polish register of energy producers in small installations. The Energy Regulatory Office (URE) says the updated template is used for the first time for the semi-annual report covering the first half of 2026. The previous practice of sending separate statements for each renewable installation has been replaced by one collective report that includes all small installations operated during the six-month period.
Individual prosumers are exempt from the new reporting obligation. Those using micro photovoltaic installations of up to 50 kW and settling electricity in net-billing or net-metering are not required to file it. The formal duty is not limited to solar panels: it covers all small renewable energy installations included in the MIOZE register.
A consolidated return for small installations
The form covers all small renewable energy installations owned by one producer with a combined electrical capacity greater than 50 kW and not exceeding 1 MW. The obligation falls mainly on companies, farmers and other entities running such installations and keeping them in the MIOZE register.
Even zero production does not release a producer from filing. A report must also be submitted when no electricity was generated in a given period, as well as when generation was stopped but the producer still possessed the installation during the reporting period.
Deadline and penalty
Reports for the first half of 2026 must reach the URE by 31 July. The authority stresses that the date of receipt is decisive, not the date when the report was posted. Failure to submit the report or providing untrue information may result in a financial penalty of up to 1,000 zł.
Producers covered by MIOZE should therefore review whether all their installations are correctly listed in one return. The new format introduces one collective report for small renewable generation and changes the way registered energy producers fulfil their reporting duties.
