Polish fund invests in Bulgarian tech company

Polish growth equity fund TDJ Growth has joined a $10 million Series A round for Tiger Technology, a Bulgarian company specialising in hybrid data infrastructure. The investment will accelerate the company’s expansion into the United States, Europe, and the Middle East.

TDJ Growth, part of the Polish TDJ group, invested alongside TCEE Fund IV managed by 3TS Capital Partners, which led the round. Other participants include Endeavor Catalyst, Impetus, and existing investors.

The fresh capital will be used to expand Tiger Technology’s product portfolio, strengthen its network of commercial partners, and push into new geographies.

A bridge between on-premise and cloud

Tiger Technology develops solutions that let businesses manage data securely across both local infrastructure and cloud environments. Its flagship product, Tiger Bridge, extends on-premise data storage to the cloud without requiring changes to existing applications or business processes.

– We were convinced by Tiger Technology’s ability to solve a real and increasingly important problem for enterprises. The company’s software extends local data infrastructure to the cloud without requiring changes to the applications and processes organisations use every day – said Mateusz Sumara, investment director at TDJ Growth.

Sumara noted that market fundamentals are very strong: the volume of unstructured data is growing rapidly and regulations require longer retention periods. The development of artificial intelligence increases demand for cloud-accessible data, while full migration remains too costly and complex for many organisations. Hybrid data infrastructure is the answer, and Tiger Technology is capitalising on this trend.

– Tiger Technology stands out for its combination of breakthrough technical solutions in petabyte-scale hybrid storage, deployments at mission-critical clients, and a clear market opportunity driven by AI adoption, security, and data sovereignty – commented Sever Totia, partner at 3TS Capital Partners.

Market poised for growth

Currently, more than 40% of data is still stored on-premise, and most of it is unstructured. The rapid development of AI, rising regulatory demands, and the need for long-term archiving are making hybrid data infrastructure one of the fastest-growing technology segments. According to forecasts, its value will approach $30 billion by 2030.

Tiger Technology works with major cloud providers, including AWS, which named the company a Rising Star Partner 2025. Its solutions are used by clients in transport, media, construction, and public administration. The firm now manages over 100 petabytes of customer data worldwide.

– This funding is a confirmation of the value of our technology and the trust of our clients, as well as the maturity of the business we have built – said Iravan Hira, CEO of Tiger Technology. – With these funds, we will accelerate global expansion, deepen cooperation with the largest cloud platforms, and make our solutions available to more mission-critical enterprises.

– Many years ago we bet on a vision that at the time seemed to go against market trends. The industry clearly separated the cloud from on-premise infrastructure, assuming companies would ultimately have to choose one. We did not believe that. We thought the market needed a bridge between the two architectures – a seamless, efficient solution invisible to the business processes on which daily operations depend – said Alexander Lefterov, founder and CTO of Tiger Technology.

TDJ Growth is a growth equity platform focused on scaling technology companies from Central and Eastern Europe. It typically makes minority investments of $4–8 million.
