Nearly 2000 zloty for people over 60 and 65. One condition

People who have raised at least four children can receive a benefit from ZUS of up to 1,978.49 zloty gross per month. The Mama 4+ program is mainly aimed at women over 60, but in certain situations men over 65 can also apply.

The full amount corresponds to the lowest pension in force since March 1, 2026. The benefit is subject to annual indexation. However, not everyone will receive the full sum. Those already drawing a lower pension or annuity get only a supplement – the average top-up in April 2026 was 1,083.23 zloty.

Who qualifies for the program

The key requirement is giving birth to or raising at least four children. This includes biological, adopted, stepchildren, and foster children, except those placed in professional foster families. Women can apply after turning 60 if they have no income that allows them to support themselves. Fathers over 65 may be eligible in special cases, such as when the mother has died or abandoned the family.

Residence and application rules

Applicants must live in Poland and have their center of vital interests in the country for at least 10 years after turning 16. The benefit is available to Polish citizens, citizens of certain EU and EFTA countries with residence rights, and foreigners legally staying in Poland. The money is not granted automatically – a formal application must be submitted to ZUS together with the required documents.
