More speakers have been confirmed for Future Mining Forum & Expo 2026, an event scheduled for 9-11 September at the International Congress Centre in Katowice. The meeting is expected to address ways of improving industrial competitiveness and maintaining energy security.
The organisers have invited representatives of the biggest companies, public administration and academia to discuss the direction of the extractive sector. The full list of confirmed panellists is available on the official Future Mining Forum & Expo 2026 website.
The forum is promoted as a trade fair for future-oriented mining and a new chapter for the extractive sector. The programme will be divided into two main tracks: Industry, Infrastructure and Supply Chains, and Technology, Energy and Operations.
The first track will centre on supply chain resilience and access to raw materials, while the second will focus on the role of technology in energy management and everyday mining operations. Both tracks will bring together company leaders, officials and scientists.
Main topics on the agenda
The agenda includes questions such as: what role will Polish enterprises play in global supply chains for the mining sector, and how can access to aggregates and raw materials for infrastructure growth be secured? Panellists will also look at how the energy transition can be reconciled with the security of supply.
Another thread of the discussions will be the impact of new technologies on occupational safety, production efficiency and profitability. The organisers stress that the future of mining depends on efficient supply chains, access to raw materials, modern technologies and operational efficiency.
