On 29 August 2026, the OLiOC Academy will hold the National Response Training, a free countrywide drill focused on crisis situations. The event is part of a civil defence education programme and will teach participants how to identify alarm signals, check the location of shelters, verify the reliability of information and assemble an evacuation backpack.
According to the Ministry of Interior and Administration, the OLiOC Academy points will be open from the morning hours in thousands of places throughout the country. They will be located, among others, in city centres, tourist localities, volunteer fire brigade stations, libraries and community centres.
The National Response Training is the next phase of the MSWiA’s nationwide public education programme, which operates under the Civil Protection and Civil Defence Act. This law provides the legal basis for the entire OLiOC Academy initiative. The aim of the project is to build social resilience systematically through practical drills.
Since the start of 2026, more than 276,000 people have participated in OLiOC Academy events. Over 106,000 of them took part in the June National First Aid Training.
The June edition focused on first aid. The August edition will instead cover alarm signals, shelter locations, information verification and evacuation backpacks.
What the crisis drill covers
During meetings with experts and the services, residents will receive guidance on recognising alarm signals, checking shelter locations, verifying information and putting together an evacuation backpack. All such meetings are free of charge.
– We build security through investment in the civil protection system and through the preparation of each and every one of us. The National Response Training gives residents the chance to gain skills that can prove invaluable in a crisis situation – said Magdalena Roguska, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Interior and Administration.
Where to get details and materials
Educational materials will be available on the MSWiA OLiOC website at www.gov.pl/olioc and on the programme’s social media profiles. Information about specific points and the schedule can be found on the websites and social media channels of municipal offices and the relevant provincial office.
