InPost unveils a suitcase for parcel lockers. Will it change travel across Europe?

InPost has unveiled the Parcel Suitcase, a piece of luggage designed to fit inside a Parcel Locker size C compartment. The product is made of polycarbonate and features detachable wheels and a combination lock. The suitcase costs PLN 320 and is available in the Out of the Box store.

InPost is a Polish delivery platform for e‑commerce, founded in 1999 by Rafał Brzoska. The company operates a network of Parcel Lockers in Poland and several other European countries. The new Parcel Suitcase is aimed at people travelling between European countries. The offer may be particularly attractive for passengers of low‑cost airlines, which often impose stricter limits on checked and carry‑on baggage.

– We are creating a new standard of suitcase for you, made of polycarbonate, with detachable wheels and a combination lock – Rafał Brzoska wrote on social media, announcing the project.

Shipping to 8 countries

InPost said that shipments can be sent and received in Poland, France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg. The company also announced that it plans to extend the service to the United Kingdom.

The key change is the ability to send international parcels without having to install local InPost applications in other countries. Users of the Polish InPost app will be able to send a parcel from Poland to other European countries directly from their app.

– You do not need to install local InPost apps, French, Spanish, etc. You can do it from your Polish InPost app – said Rafał Brzoska.

Sending luggage before travel

According to InPost’s announcement, the new service is intended to reduce the need to carry large luggage on flights. Users will be able to send their suitcase ahead of time and pick it up at their destination or after returning home.

– You will now be able to take only your memories with you, and send your suitcases in advance – they will be delivered back to you later – said Rafał Brzoska.

The solution is presented as an alternative to traditional airport baggage check‑in and a way to reduce the costs associated with transporting suitcases by airlines. The unveiling of the Parcel Suitcase shows that InPost is expanding beyond classic e‑commerce deliveries, focusing on mobility and logistics solutions for individual customers. The new concept fits into the growing trend of automating travel services and simplifying baggage transport between European countries. The product can already be purchased in the Out of the Box store for PLN 320.
