InPost ends PZPN sponsorship, turns toward Ekstraklasa

InPost has officially ended its four-year sponsorship of the Polish Football Association (PZPN). The company’s founder and CEO, Rafał Brzoska, confirmed the move on X and revealed that the logistics giant wants to focus on supporting Ekstraklasa instead.

The cooperation between InPost and the football federation ran from 2022 to the end of July 2026. According to sportmarketing.pl, the contract was worth up to PLN 10 million per year, making it one of the largest sponsorship deals PZPN had ever signed with a private company. The federation must now find a way to replace those funds.

– We have ended our cooperation with the Polish Football Association. Thank you for the joint implementation of goals, the good partner relationship, and from InPost we wish all the best and success in the future – wrote Rafał Brzoska, founder and CEO of InPost.

– We will especially remember initiatives addressed to young female players, such as the unique campaign with letters from Polish national team players to themselves from childhood, as well as many other actions that built a bond between the team and the fans. We thank InPost for all shared moments – said Cezary Kulesza, president of PZPN.

Shift in strategy

Brzoska did not hide that the unusually emotional recent season of Ekstraklasa pushed the company towards a new opening.

– I also do not hide that the exceptionally thrilling last season of our Ekstraklasa prompted us to make a new start, and the possibility of building the strength of club football is perhaps a different formula, but still one that builds and supplies the national team with talent. InPost was, is and will be supporting Polish football, and in a multidimensional way – wrote Brzoska.

PZPN loses a major backer

For PZPN, losing such a significant sponsor could prove painful. The InPost deal was regarded as one of the highest-value sponsorship contracts in the federation’s history, especially because it came from a private entity rather than a state-owned company.

The announcement confirms earlier information released by PZPN about the end of the cooperation, which concluded in July. During the partnership, InPost and PZPN worked together on projects aimed at building a stronger connection between the national team and supporters, including activities for young players.

InPost is not abandoning football entirely, though. The company’s new approach means direct financial support for Ekstraklasa clubs, with the declared goal of still contributing to the development of players for the national team.
