Polskie Porty Lotnicze (PPL) closed 2025 with historically high financial results, with consolidated revenues exceeding PLN 4 billion for the first time and net profit reaching over PLN 1 billion. The company plans to use these strong earnings to fund key infrastructure projects, including the modernization of Warsaw Chopin Airport.
The PPL Group reported revenues of PLN 4.02 billion in 2025, a 16.3% increase year-on-year. Net profit for the group came in at PLN 1.03 billion, up 25.4% compared to the previous year. Total group assets now stand at PLN 10.7 billion. In the parent company alone, revenues rose 12.6% to PLN 1.83 billion, while net profit reached PLN 0.7 billion, an 8.6% increase.
– We have just completed an absolutely record-breaking year. The historic results we present today clearly show that Polskie Porty Lotnicze is in the best financial condition in its entire history. This is a source of great pride and proof that our strategy is delivering tangible results – said PPL CEO Łukasz Chaberski in a statement.
Operating costs rose by 13.5%, driven largely by a 19.5% increase in personnel expenses, which now account for 48% of total operating costs.
Record performance and future outlook
Despite the tense geopolitical situation, including the war in Ukraine and the conflict with Iran, PPL expects equally strong results in 2026. The company is forecasting that in the current year Chopin Airport will handle approximately 25.2–25.5 million passengers, which would represent growth of 5–7% compared to 2025. By 2030, the airport aims to reach 30 million passengers.
– We assume that in 2026 – despite the expected increase in operating costs at the airports we manage – we will generate positive financial results similar to those achieved in 2025 – assured Marcin Danił, member of the PPL board responsible for finance. He added that this will be possible thanks to further growth in air traffic.
Investments in infrastructure
The strong financial position allows PPL to smoothly carry out necessary infrastructure investments, particularly the modernization of Chopin Airport, now estimated to cost around PLN 940 million. According to the schedule, design work will last until the end of 2026, construction work is planned for the 2026–2028 period, and the entire project is to be completed by 2029.
– Such a strong base and earned profits are not only a source of satisfaction, but above all a foundation for our future. A strong, stable and profitable PPL Group will directly translate into the success of the strategic Port Polska project. As an industry investor, we are excellently prepared today to efficiently support this key investment for the country – stated Marcin Danił.
