Enea and Greenvolt close their third transaction. Nowe Miasto Lubawskie is the latest

Enea Nowa Energia has finalised the purchase of the Nowe Miasto Lubawskie Wind Farm with a capacity of 6.6 MW from Greenvolt Power. The project is located in the Warmińsko-Mazurskie province in northern Poland and comprises three turbines with individual capacities ranging from 2.0 to 2.2 MW each.

The wind farm has been fully operational since the end of November 2025. The project was handed over before the closing of the transaction, after the conditions set out in the preliminary agreement had been met. The key conditions, including obtaining a building use permit and a licence for electricity generation, were satisfied before the end of April 2026.

Nowe Miasto Lubawskie is part of a wider wind project portfolio with a total capacity of 33.2 MW, the sale of which to Enea Nowa Energia was announced in May 2025. The total value of the transaction for the entire portfolio is €83.3 million. In addition to Nowe Miasto Lubawskie, the agreement includes the Skibno wind farm (10 MW) in the Zachodniopomorskie province, the Zaklików wind farm (10 MW) in the Podkarpackie province, and the Jabłonowo Pomorskie wind farm (6.6 MW) in the Kujawsko-Pomorskie province. This is the third transaction completed within this package. The final transaction for the Jabłonowo Pomorskie Wind Farm remains to be closed, and Enea plans to finalise it in 2026.

Energy storage project with building permit

The finalised transaction also includes a battery energy storage system (BESS) project with a capacity of 3 MW, for which a building permit has already been obtained. Thus, the Nowe Miasto Lubawskie Wind Farm strengthens the potential for developing hybrid renewable energy assets within the Enea Group. The possibility of implementing the energy storage project remains open for subsequent stages of the investment.

– The transaction concerning the Nowe Miasto Lubawskie Wind Farm is further proof that Enea Nowa Energia is consistently supporting and accelerating the energy transformation of the Enea Group. This is the third of four transactions being carried out under the preliminary agreement signed last year. There is still the last one – for the Jabłonowo Pomorskie Wind Farm – which we plan to finalise this year. We are not slowing down in building modern renewable energy capacity – said Tomasz Szamocki, Vice‑President of Enea Nowa Energia for Operations.

Greenvolt’s asset rotation strategy

Poland is a key market for the Greenvolt Group. The company has a diversified portfolio in the country comprising 238 MW of wind projects, 657 MW of solar projects and 2,595 MW of battery energy storage systems (BESS). The group’s global assets amount to 12.8 GW. Greenvolt is implementing an asset rotation strategy, which in 2025 reached a sales level of 1 GW.

– The completion of the Nowe Miasto Lubawskie Wind Farm and the successful finalisation of the transaction further confirm Greenvolt Power’s ability to consistently deliver high‑quality renewable energy projects and create value through our asset rotation strategy. As a key market for the Group, Poland continues to play a central role in our growth ambitions, and projects such as this one directly contribute to the country’s energy transition – said Weronika Nowak, CEO of Greenvolt Power.

Enea’s Strategy to 2035

The transaction supports the energy transition of the Enea Group, which is being carried out in line with the company’s Strategy to 2035. The investment programme amounts to approximately PLN 108 billion. Under this programme, the Group plans to invest in renewables, energy storage and the development and modernisation of distribution grids. Enea Group’s installed renewable energy capacity increased by 220.5 MW year on year in 2025.
