Elektrotim has been selected as the best bidder in a tender by Tauron Dystrybucja for the modernization of the 110/15 kV Słomniki substation. The contract, worth 34.1 million PLN net (42.0 million PLN gross), brings the Wrocław-based company closer to another significant order from Poland’s largest distribution operator.
The tender was conducted under the „design and build” formula, covering the complete modernization of the Słomniki substation. Elektrotim’s offer was deemed the most advantageous among several competitors. The project is part of Tauron’s ongoing program to strengthen and modernize its medium-voltage grid, which is crucial for ensuring reliable power supply to households and businesses in the Małopolska region.
Financial performance and order book
In the first quarter of 2026, Elektrotim reported sales revenues of just over 81.1 million PLN, with a net profit of 1.7 million PLN. This compares to 90.8 million PLN in revenue and 4.3 million PLN in net profit in the same period of 2025. Despite a slight year-on-year decline in quarterly results, the company’s portfolio of orders remains strong.
As of the end of April 2026, Elektrotim’s order book stood at 736 million PLN, of which 369 million PLN is planned for realization in 2026 alone. In the first quarter of 2026, the company secured contracts worth 158 million PLN, down from 287 million PLN in the same period the prior year, a decline that reflects the typical volatility in public procurement cycles.
Growing activity in the distribution sector
Elektrotim specializes in electrical engineering, including the construction and modernization of substations, power lines, and distribution networks. The company has been a regular partner for Tauron Dystrybucja, winning multiple projects over the past years. The current tender adds to a growing list of investments in Poland’s energy infrastructure, driven by the need to replace aging equipment and integrate renewable energy sources.
The contract also supports Elektrotim’s strategy to strengthen its position in the distribution segment, which benefits from stable demand from state-owned utilities. With a solid order backlog and a track record of successful project delivery, the company is well-positioned to maintain its growth trajectory despite a more selective market in 2026.
