Elektrotim is close to securing another multi-million contract with Tauron Dystrybucja, after its offer was selected as the best in a tender for the modernization of the 110/15 kV Słomniki substation. The project, valued at 34.1 million PLN net (42.0 million PLN gross), will be carried out under a design-and-build formula.
The tender was announced by Tauron Dystrybucja, one of Poland’s largest distribution system operators. Elektrotim’s bid was chosen as the most advantageous, moving the company one step closer to signing the final agreement. The substation modernization is part of Tauron’s ongoing investments to improve grid reliability and capacity in the Lesser Poland region.
Strong order book supports growth
As of the end of April 2026, Elektrotim’s order book stood at 736 million PLN, with 369 million PLN scheduled for realization in 2026. This solid backlog provides visibility for the company’s operations in the coming months. In the first quarter of 2026 alone, Elektrotim secured contracts worth 158 million PLN, compared to over 287 million PLN in the same period of 2025.
The decline in new contract value year-on-year reflects a more cautious approach in the market, but the company maintains a healthy pipeline of tenders and negotiations.
Financial performance in Q1 2026
Elektrotim reported first-quarter 2026 sales revenue of just over 81.1 million PLN, down from nearly 90.8 million PLN in Q1 2025. Net profit for the period reached 1.7 million PLN, compared to 4.3 million PLN a year earlier. The lower profitability was partly due to higher costs and a less favorable mix of projects.
Despite the year-on-year decline, the company remains profitable and continues to generate positive cash flow. The upcoming contract with Tauron is expected to contribute to revenue and margins in the second half of 2026.
Strategic partnership with Tauron
This is not the first large contract between Elektrotim and Tauron Dystrybucja. The two companies have cooperated on several grid modernization projects in recent years. The new order reinforces Elektrotim’s position as a key contractor for Poland’s leading distribution system operators.
Completion of the Słomniki project will help improve the quality of electricity supply for local consumers and businesses. The design-and-build approach also allows Elektrotim to optimize costs and timelines.
