Top pay in Poland’s aviation recruitment is now hitting 25,000 zloty gross, with carriers and service firms advertising openings across technical, ground and IT operations. PLL LOT and Lufthansa are among the employers looking for staff.
The scale of recruitment is visible in recent job postings collected by wp.pl. Polish flag carrier PLL LOT and its maintenance arm LOT Aircraft Maintenance Services are looking for candidates in technical operations, ground operations and IT. Lufthansa Systems Poland is hiring in Gdańsk, while Lufthansa’s Kraków service centre has announced a modest increase in specialist positions.
Engine maintenance support and digital roles
One of the positions advertised by LOT is junior specialist in the department responsible for the continuous airworthiness of power units. According to the job description, the main task is to provide technical support aimed at ensuring optimal operation of the aircraft fleet. Candidates need general technical knowledge and the ability to analyse technical documentation in English.
Lufthansa Systems Poland, whose Gdańsk office works on IT services, logistics, finance, business analysis and digital solutions for Lufthansa’s airlines, is also conducting recruitment. The Kraków centre’s planned increase in specialist jobs is described as small, but it shows the company continues to expand its Polish operations.
Salary ranges from internships to IT leadership
Published wage brackets, cited by strefabiznesu.pl via wp.pl, reveal a wide spread depending on the role. An instructional design specialist can earn between 8,000 and 21,000 zloty gross, depending on experience. An aviation engineer is offered the same upper limit, with a bracket of 8,000 to 21,000 zloty gross.
Financial reporting specialists are being recruited with salaries in the range of 8,000 to 10,000 zloty gross. At the lower end, an intern or trainee in the HR and payroll administration department will be paid 32 zloty per hour. The most lucrative offer in the collection is for an IT team leader with hands-on technical experience, with pay reaching 25,000 zloty gross.
The announcements show that aviation companies are chasing engineers and maintenance staff as well as digital, financial and training-related expertise. For job seekers, the key requirement in many roles is familiarity with technical documentation and command of English.
