Stalexport Autostrady, the operator of the A4 motorway between Katowice and Kraków, will pay a total of 180.5 million złoty in dividends from its 2025 profit. The decision was approved by the company’s annual general meeting held on Tuesday, 9 June in Katowice.
The dividend per share amounts to 0.73 złoty. The record date is set for 15 June, with the payout scheduled for 18 June. The move confirms the company’s policy of providing regular returns to shareholders, even as its 29-year concession to manage the A4 section is set to expire in March 2027.
Stable finances despite looming deadline
According to the company’s management, the decision to maintain the dividend practice was based on the group’s solid financial standing and high liquidity. – The organisation currently has a stable financial situation and high liquidity, allowing us to secure current operations and the continued functioning of the company. The expiring concession requires us to adapt our operating model to the needs and realities of the market for each group company – said Andrzej Kaczmarek, CEO of Stalexport Autostrady.
He added that the current financial and asset position, together with proven experience in the infrastructure sector, provide a solid starting point for defining areas of activity in the coming years.
Future plans after the concession ends
The biggest challenge for the company remains finding a path forward after the A4 management contract ends. Stalexport Autostrady intends to leverage its infrastructure management experience in several ways. – The company plans to base its activities on real estate projects on its owned land and to implement technological solutions for transport, including modern videotolling applications. We will also closely monitor new PPP projects and other infrastructure opportunities, particularly those concerning dual-use infrastructure for civil and military purposes – explained Kaczmarek.
The company has been operating the A4 motorway for nearly three decades. With the concession winding down, investors are watching closely how the firm will transition its business model while still rewarding shareholders in the final year of its current contract.
