Scanway, a Polish company specializing in optical instruments for space applications, has secured a contract to supply three Earth observation telescopes to Bulgarian firm EnduroSat EAD. The deal is valued at 0.9 million euros and is set for completion by the end of 2027.
The order covers the delivery of three flight-ready telescope models that will be integrated with EnduroSat’s FRAME-15 satellite platform. Scanway will equip the telescopes with dedicated solutions to ensure full compatibility with the latest generation of EnduroSat’s minisatellites.
Scanway said the contract confirms its high technological competence and marks a deepening partnership with a leading European player in the small and medium-sized satellite segment. EnduroSat operates in global constellation projects and has already launched more than 70 satellites and 3,500 separate space modules into orbit.
Strategic step for Polish space sector
For Scanway, the agreement represents a major commercial milestone. The company’s instruments will be used for Earth observation, a rapidly growing field within the space industry. The partnership with EnduroSat, which has raised 150 million euros in funding from investors including Google Ventures, gives Scanway access to a well-funded and expanding client base.
– This order is a validation of our technology and our ability to compete on the international market – said a Scanway representative. – We are proud to support EnduroSat in its ambitious space projects.
EnduroSat’s track record and ambitions
EnduroSat EAD is known for its modular satellite platforms that serve both commercial and institutional customers. The company’s FRAME-15 platform is designed for small satellites, offering flexibility and cost efficiency for Earth observation and communications missions. With more than 70 satellites launched and thousands of modules delivered, EnduroSat has established itself as a key supplier in the new space economy.
– We chose Scanway because of their precision optics and reliable delivery record – commented a spokesperson for EnduroSat. – This collaboration will help us scale our constellation capabilities.
Financial and technological outlook
The 0.9 million euro contract is Scanway’s largest single order to date, according to information provided by the company. The project will run through 2027, with final delivery of the three telescopes scheduled before the end of that year. Scanway expects that successful integration with FRAME-15 could lead to follow-up orders from EnduroSat or other satellite operators.
The Polish firm continues to invest in R&D to stay competitive in the global space optics market. Its technologies are used in scientific missions, Earth monitoring, and defense applications.
